Travel

By Train

The nearest railway station is Chester-le-Street. There is one train an hour direct from Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, and York. There is also one train an hour from Newcastle upon Tyne. 

 

These stations offer connections to the wider National Rail network. For example:

If you’re travelling from London or Birmingham, change at York.

If you’re travelling from Scotland, change at Newcastle upon Tyne.

Transport will be provided between Chester-le-Street station and the con. Alternatively, the station is 30 minutes’ walk from the venue.

By Bus

Buses serve Chester-le-Street from various destinations, including Bishop Auckland, Consett, Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle upon Tyne, Seaham, South Shields, Stanley, and Sunderland. The bus stop will be called Front Street or South Burns, depending on your service.

By Coach

The nearest coach stops are in Newcastle upon Tyne, Durham, and Sunderland. From there, you can travel to Chester-le-Street by bus.

From the south: to Durham Sutton Street, then various buses from Durham Bus Station

From the north: to Newcastle Coach Station, then bus X21 from Bigg Market

 

Megabus:

Fron the south: to Durham Palatine Centre, then bus X12 from Palatine Centre

From the north: to Newcastle John Dobson Street, then bus X21 from Eldon Square Bus Station

 

Flixbus:

From the south: to Sunderland Interchange, then various buses from Sunderland Interchange (please note: bus journey time may be over 1 hour)

From the north: to Newcastle John Dobson Street, then bus X21 from Eldon Square Bus Station

By Car

There is ample, free parking on site.
